Originally from the small town of Clinton, CT, Dr. Washburn graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She then attended VCU and Virginia Tech for grad school and clinical rotations, where she fell in love with Virginia. When the opportunity arose for her to come to Charlottesville, she and her family excitedly made the move!
Dr. Washburn enjoys educating her clients on how to have a fantastic and healthy relationship with their pets. She also enjoys the challenges of difficult cases, managing chronic diseases, and surgery.
When Dr. Washburn is not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her son and family, as well as attempting gardening and DIY home projects. Her furry family currently consists of one dog, Dallas, a Brittany Spaniel, and two cats: one from St. Kitts that she adopted in vet school named Flip and a "foster failure" cat named Ojo.
