Christine has spent most of her life working with and around horses. She worked many years in the nursing department of a large equine referral hospital, and came to the VCA Alexandria in 2003 during her externship for school. She applied for a permanent position and has worked for the Emergency Department since then. Christine passed her boards and was licensed as a Veterinary Technician in 2004, and is presently working toward technician certification in emergency and critical care. Christine resides in Fredericksburg with a varied assortment of cats, a less varied assortment of dogs, and two very similar Fjord/Draft cross ponies. When not working Christine can be found either at the barn - with her small stout horses, in the kitchen happily cooking, or out hiking with the dogs.
