An Austin native, general practitioner Dr. Stephanie Swanzy has cared for pets at VCA Anderson Mill Animal Hospital since 2003. She attended Texas A&M University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science in 1999. Dr. Swanzy earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Her professional interests include dentistry and soft-tissue surgery. Dr. Swanzy is a member of the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Swanzy shares her home with her husband, Kirk, and cats Simon, Bailey, Tobey, Cassidy, Lil Tux, Smudge, Dink, Huey, Chilly, and Monkey. An avid runner, she has raced in the Austin Marathon, Dallas White Rock Marathon, and the prestigious Boston Marathon, and she can usually be found training for her next race. Dr. Swanzy also enjoys reading and cooking. She is a member of the Twenty-Six Two Marathon Club of Austin and the Longhorn Lions of Cedar Park/Leander.
