Donetta has worked in the veterinary field since 2001 and joined our team in 2008. She studied Business Administration at Mayland Community College in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, and had a career in human medicine for over twenty-five years. She graduated from Veterinary Tech Institute in 2012 with an Associates degree in Applied Science. Upon passing her VTNE examination, she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Donetta enjoys working in emergency care and finds great satisfaction in making a difference in the lives of our patients. She also finds that comforting distraught or grieving clients is additionally rewarding, and an important aspect of her duties. She says that our excellent staff of doctors, technicians, receptionists and management personnel make her look forward to coming to work. She lives with her husband Ben, and a house full of fur babies. Donetta has a special interest in cats and enjoys studying feline behavior and medicine. Her hobbies include cross-stitch, reading, cat cuddling and playing with the grandkids.
