Dr. Karen Vergara is a passionate veterinarian who graduated from St. George's University and completed her clinical year at Michigan State University. Her love for animals and her desire to make a difference in their lives led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Despite attaining extensive experience throughout her education at various zoos, including a prestigious opportunity with the USDA APHIS Animal Care and the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington D.C., Dr. Vergara appreciated working with a more intimate approach alongside pets and their owners.
Her interest in Eastern Medicine sparked while working as a veterinary technician and a physical rehabilitator at a small animal practice. Currently, Dr. Vergara is in the process of achieving a certification in Acupuncture at the Chi Institute.
