Dr. Kate Hoshi is originally from San Jose, California and is excited to join BAVS! She completed her undergrad at UC Davis and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. She completed an emergency and critical care internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas and followed with a second internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital – Sorrento Valley in San Diego. In addition, she completed a 3-week general practice externship in Shizuoka, Japan. Dr. Hoshi's professional interests include fluid therapy, trauma, toxicology, sepsis and overall improving patient care and comfort. Outside of work, Dr. Hoshi enjoys traveling, cooking, fashion, and trying different restaurants and cafes.
