Dr. Waney is a San Diego native and grew up in Clairemont. She worked as a kennel assistant throughout high school at a local animal shelter, and then completed her undergraduate coursework at UC Berkeley. She lived in San Francisco for several years after college working as a veterinary hospital assistant and urban park enthusiast. She then made it to UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, the school of her dreams, and slowly began to accumulate animals of her own! She is excited to have moved back to her home town of San Diego with her dog and cat, and has thoroughly missed the beaches and sunshine while she was away. Dr. Waney believes that the best way to provide quality medical care to her patients is to establish open and honest relationships with their owners. Dr. Waney has special interests in soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology and emergency medicine.
