I am Rachel Turner of Wasilla, Alaska. I was born in Bitburg, Germany, while my father was stationed there in the Air Force. I grew up mostly in Alaska where I graduated high school from Chugiak High School. After high school, I worked as a Veterinary Technician in both Alaska and Oregon, where I worked with animals ranging from snakes, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, birds, dogs and cats. I have owned all sorts of reptiles including Florida alligators and a prairie dog. My love of animals follows me today with my 200 LB great Dane/Mastiff named Jake.
Jake and I share our house with my husband, Jason, and our two children, Breanna (15) and Cody (14). I also have a stepdaughter, Sierra, who is on active duty in the Navy and about to bless us with our first grandson in April. Our family enjoys gold mining, fishing, and camping. When we are in town, my husband and I are active dart players looking to win our way back to nationals in Las Vegas. I have been in the Human Services field working with individuals with disabilities and veterans who need PCA services for the last 10 years as a program director. I look forward to getting back into the animal world that I love and missed so much.
