Dr. Sheehan grew up in the Chicago suburbs and her interest in veterinary medicine was sparked from both my love for animals at a young age, and cancer research during undergraduate studies. Dr. Sheehan received her Bachelor of Animal Science from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana in 2011, followed by Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Illinois in 2015. After graduation in 2015, Dr. Sheehan worked for a 24/7 emergency and general practice hospital. Dr. Sheehan moved to Chicago in 2017 to be closer to her fiancé and joined the Blum family. Dr. Sheehan is a member of AVMA, ISVMA, and CVMA and a Fear Free certified veterinarian.
Dr. Sheehan's veterinary passions include dentistry and surgery.
Dr. Sheehan has a Bernese Mountain dog, Darby, at home along with two foster-fail cats, Mila and Charlie. In her free time Dr. Sheehan enjoys volunteering for Sit, Stay, Read at Chicago public schools, horseback riding with a program that rehabs ex-TB racehorses, and listening to true crime podcasts. Dr. Sheehan loves to explore her local Chicago neighborhood, Lakeview, particularly restaurants and local shops.
