Dr. Gabriele Strottner is a member of the Medical Oncology Department at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Utah and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University. Following graduation, she completed both comprehensive rotating internship at Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Center and an oncology internship at Southwest Veterinary Oncology. After finishing her internships, she completed a residency in medical oncology at VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists.
Dr. Strottner enjoys all aspects of medical oncology, but has unique interests in treating patients with lymphoma and osteosarcoma. She also has a passion for comparative medicine, studying human cancer treatments like immunotherapy with the hope of applying novel treatments to help our feline and canine companions. She strives to ensure families fully understand their pets’ cancer and recommended therapies.
Dr. Strottner enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Their favorite activities are traveling, socializing with friends, cooking, hiking, playing disc golf and soccer.
