Dr. Krizak was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. She started out in the veterinary field by volunteering at an animal hospital throughout high school. She completed both her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees at Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS.

After graduation, she moved to Houston with her husband and their 4 cats (Ninja, Wally, Jane, and Bellatrix). Since moving to Houston, she and her husband have adopted another cat (Juniper) and a one-eyed terrier mix (Sullivan). Dr. Krizak's professional interests include feline medicine and ophthalmology. When not at work, Dr. Krizak enjoys baking, gardening, and running.
