Jody was born and raised right here in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jody graduated from Clark High School and went to Southern Utah State College for two years before she moved back to Vegas. Jody continued her pre-veterinarian studies at night while working full time at Southwest Animal Hospital and then Rainbow Animal Hospital. Jody was in her senior year when her husband and her moved to Brian Head, Utah for a short stay and then on to New Jersey. After a long hiatus to raise her family, Jody finally went back to working at a veterinarian's office. She had been at Eagle Rock Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey for 22 years! Now that Jody's family is older she has gone back to finish her degree. Jody's plan is to become a certified veterinarian technician and specialize in dental care. She is taking classes from Penn Foster and is currently in her second semester. Jody's first semester with Penn Foster, she made the Dean's List! (This was done while working full time and still raising her family as a single parent!)
While Jody was in Nevada, before she moved, she sang with the Nevada Opera Theater for years. While she was in New Jersey, Jody was involved with multiple community theater groups either on stage or off. (Jody is a skilled seamstress and has won multiple awards for her clothing that she has made!) Jody also plays THREE instruments: piano, clarinet, and cello, and at one time was involved in three different orchestra groups all at the same time! (Needless to say that their concerts were all on different days!)
You might not know this, but Jody has been a balloon handler for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for three years! You just might have caught her on television one of those times. Jody has an avid love of horses and that is one of the reasons that she moved back to Nevada, to find land and have a horse of her own. While in New Jersey, Jody ran the Northern New Jersey Ghostbuster Cosplay group and participated in many local parades.
Interesting fact: She only adopts the unadoptable black dogs who never get loving homes. Jody is now on her 5th black dog.
