Dr. Allison Bulanda was born and raised in rural Iowa, where she spent as much time as possible with the creatures on her grandparents' farm and participated in 4-H. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Buena Vista University, before going on to earn her DVM from Iowa State University. During undergrad, Dr. "B" was a member of the University softball team and directed a mentoring program at the local middle school. Dr. Bulanda, her husband Matt, and their dogs (Finnegan, Oswald, Rio, and Cheeto) moved to Texas after graduation. Her favorite parts of veterinary medicine are treating wounds and performing surgery. Dr. Bulanda is also trained in canine acupuncture.
