Dr. Emily Kleintop has been an associate veterinarian with VCA East Penn Animal Hospital since July of 2023. Having a passion for helping animals at a very young age, Dr. Kleintop made it her goal to become a veterinarian. She earned her B.S. in Small Animal Science at Delaware Valley University before moving to Arizona, where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Midwestern University. Dr. Kleintop is happy to be back home and currently lives in Northampton, PA, with her cat named Mister. Dr. Kleintop's special areas of interest include preventative medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. She is Fear Free certified and takes pride in using Fear Free techniques to help reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in pets during vet visits. When not at work, Dr. Kleintop enjoys reading, hiking, wine tasting, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family and friends.

Why veterinary medicine? "I love being an advocate for those who can't speak for themselves. I've always been able to connect with animals, and knowing how to help them when they need it most makes my heart so happy."
