Dr. Jennifer Rainey is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in the Highlands. She graduated from duPont Manual High School in 2000, and then received her Bachelors of Science in both Biology and Animal Sciences from the University of Kentucky. (Go Wildcats!) She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2008. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina. She practiced small animal medicine in Colorado Springs for three years before moving to northern Virginia/ DC where she practiced for 7 years. She has followed her heart back home to Louisville and is excited to be part of the VCA Fairleigh team. Her professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, skiing, biking, rock climbing, triathlons and especially running with her Doberman, Sawyer.
