Dr. Carrie Herrema was born and raised in Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Arizona University and worked marketing for several years in California before deciding to make a career change to pursue her passion. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health in California and worked with several rescue organizations and private practice in Santa Barbara prior to moving to the South Bay. Dr. Herrema has been in small animal private practice in the South Bay for the past several years and joined our team in April 2022! She has a special interest in dermatology, allergy management, dentistry, and surgery. Dr. Herrema also enjoys paddleboarding, running, going to the beach, wine tasting, traveling and spending time with her husband and 2 children.
