Dr. Kerry Heuter, DVM, DACVIM-SAIM (Internal Medicine), is the Medical Director and Internal Medicine specialist at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center.
Dr. Heuter attended Boston University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He attended veterinary school at The Ohio State University. He completed his internship and residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Heuter has received many awards, but none more important to him than an award for outstanding teacher during his time on staff at The Animal Medical Center. Dr. Heuter has published many scientific articles and has lectured extensively on a variety of internal medicine topics.
Dr. Heuter is proficient in gastro duodenoscopy, colonoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, ultrasound, and many other procedures. Special research and clinical interest areas include: nephrology, urology, and endoscopy. Dr. Heuter has special training in dialysis.
Dr. Heuter has been an active Internal Medicine specialist in Westchester for over 14 years. He has developed strong relationships with many general practices in the area. He strongly believes that the best approach is to involve everyone in the process of veterinary care: clients referring veterinarians, and appropriate specialists.
