History: Dr. Joe was awarded a fellowship, attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris degree in 1982.
He graduated from Cornell University in 1978, with a B.S. degree in Animal Science, and was employed in a small animal practice and Emergency veterinary medicine since 1982.
Dr. Powell has been an associate at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains since 1998.
Family: Maureen, his wife, and three sons Michael, Robert and Charles. The family cares for several beloved pets.
When he's not at ACMP: Active in his community, Dr. Joe has been a leader in both Cub and Boy Scouting. He has coached Little League baseball and CYO basketball. His hobbies include camping, sailing and Tai Chi.
