Terry has always had a love of animals. She pursued an education in animal care at the University of Delaware in the Animal Science Pre-Vet program. While in college, she began working at Newark Animal Hospital (which would eventually become the VCA hospital it is now). Terry stayed on with the hospital after graduating with her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. Initially, she worked full time with the ER/ICU and dental teams for many years. When Terry started her family and became a stay-at-home mom, she decided to continue part time with us still. Now 30 years later, she still enjoys her job as much as she did on day one; she continues learning, growing, and engaging clients and their beloved pets.
Why I Do What I Do: "I have been fortunate to work in a place that I enjoy the people and the pets, and a job I really like. Ever since I was a young girl growing up with pets, I was the one to care for them. I was able to pursue a college degree that allowed me to be employed as a student. It seemed to me that I never wanted to work any place else. So thanks for allowing me to enjoy my job making your pets happy and healthy! So happy to be part of the special VCA Newark team!"
