Dr. Kayla South earned her undergraduate degree in conservation biology from Louisiana State University, where she developed a keen interest in preserving the natural world. However, her passion for veterinary medicine led her to pursue further education at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed her veterinary training and obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.

After completing her studies, Dr. South relocated to Missouri, where she honed her skills at a small animal general practice and urgent care center. This valuable experience allowed her to provide compassionate care to a diverse range of animal patients. Recently, she has made the decision to move to Florida to further her professional growth.

Dr. South's professional interests encompass several areas, including dermatology, oncology, and internal medicine. She is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in these fields to provide the best possible care to her patients.

In her leisure time, Dr. South indulges in various activities. She finds solace in the beauty of nature and enjoys spending time at the beach, kayaking, and exploring the outdoors. Additionally, she is an avid reader and derives great pleasure from delving into books. Dr. South also has a penchant for adventure and frequents amusement parks. Above all, she cherishes the moments spent with her friends and her mischievous orange tabby cat, whose antics never fail to bring joy to her life.
