Dr. Futterman joined the VCA Old Town team in 2024. She grew up in New Jersey and did her undergraduate studies at Lafayette College where she graduated with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Spanish. During undergrad, she even spent a semester in Seville, Spain. Dr. Futterman graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 and started in the veterinary world working as an equine technician and gradually transitioned to small animal from there.
Dr. Futterman is currently Fear Free certified and has completed the classes for veterinary acupuncture through the Chi University. Her professional interests include rehabilitation, ophthalmology, and neurology. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, baking, and experimenting with cocktail making. She and her partner just moved to DC from Florida are very excited to explore the new city as well as the nearby hiking and camping.
