Sierra, originally from the Santa Rosa area, has always loved animals. She started working in a kennel, but after her own dog had an emergency, she wanted to learn more about the medical side. She pursued medicine and became a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in 2016. She joined the team at VCA PetCare East working in our Emergency department, and she is one of our technician supervisors.
Sierra has a passion for emergency medicine, and she is Fear Free Certified, meaning she has taken extra training in alleviating fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. You can read more about this at https://fearfreepets.com. She would love to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Emergency and Critical Care.
Outside of work, Sierra enjoys dance (she even has an AA in it), hiking, bike riding, and paddle boarding. She has two cats, Milton and Bagheera, and one dog, Honey.
