Missy began working in the animal field at the age of 16, when she obtained an internship at a local veterinary hospital. Since then she worked as a veterinary assistant in several companion and exotic animal practices over the years before joining our team here in 2006. Missy is a graduate of Oneonta State and SUNY ESF Colleges, and she has earned a Bachelor of Science and Wildlife Biology. Her animal experience also includes working as a caregiver in a dog day care facility, as well as an assistant keeper at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park.
Missy's special interests include animal behavior, animal husbandry, and wildlife conservation and management. She is currently working toward obtaining her license as a wildlife rehabilitator.
