Dr. Corey Young is a South Florida native, born and raised in Boca Raton. Dr. Young completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Florida where during his studies he spent several semesters volunteering at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital and for the Gainesville Rabbit Rescue. Dr. Young obtained his veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and Nevis and completed his clinical year at Louisiana State University.

Dr. Young completed a Small Animal Rotating internship at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital, which is where his VCA journey began as an assistant/technician. During his internship, Dr. Young had the opportunity to come down to spend some time with us, learning about exotic animal medicine. Dr. Young enjoyed his time so much with us that he has decided to start his career spending time both here at VCA South Dade and at VCA Hollywood.

In his free time, Dr. Young likes to cook, watch college football (Go Gators!), and spend time with his family, which includes his dogs, Ella and Riley, his cat, Penny, and his corn snake, Apollo.
