Research/Lectures/Publications:
Dan has been involved with research and is published in several peer-reviewed journals on topics including medial patellar luxation and a novel cranial cruciate ligament reconstruction technique. During his time at the University, he lectured on various topics including osteoarthritis, necrotizing fasciitis, and cruciate ligament repair. He provided formal instruction to veterinary students on instrumentation and tissue handling principles, skin flaps and reconstructive techniques, and fracture repair.
Personal Facts:
Dan is a native of Northern New Jersey, and is happy to be close to friends and family. In his spare time, he serves as a consultant to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park and volunteers at local shelters and wildlife rescue groups to help return injured animals back to nature.
Dr. Balogh has been a member of the VCA Southpaws Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Center team since 2015. He is a board-certified veterinary surgeon.
