Dr. Bott, originally from Pennsylvania, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University. Her engineering career led her to California where she started spending her evenings volunteering at a local animal shelter. During her time there, she grew the shelter into a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue that also assisted military personnel in relocating with pets, and established a community outreach program for youth volunteers.

In her spare time, Dr. Bott attended Cal State Northridge to complete the prerequisites needed for veterinary school. She then returned to Pennsylvania to become a part of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her VMD and completed an externship with the Philadelphia Zoo.

Dr. Bott shares her home with her three crazy cats. She joined the team at VCA St. Mary's in 2019 and she has a special interest in companion animal medicine and exotics.
