Tanya has been in the animal pet care industry for over 30 years. She knew from an early age that she wanted to help take care of animals in some way, starting with pet-sitting in her own neighborhood and helping the local stray cats. Her very first job at 16 was as a kennel attendant in a veterinary clinic, where she first started her career in the field. She has had a variety of experiences in the pet care industry including working in a grooming department, dog trainer, sales associate/manager of a major pet retail store, veterinary assistant, and now RVT. She has been in the veterinary industry specifically, for over 24 years, with the last 10 of those being in emergency/urgent care (and still counting).
"Although I've had experience in several different fields of this industry, the most rewarding, for me, is being a veterinary technician…especially in emergency/urgent care, because I know I'm helping those that need it the most."
