Dr. Jessica Eidenier grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her parents, sister, brother, and their mixed breed family dog. She wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember! In high school, Dr. Eidenier volunteered at a local humane society walking and socializing dogs and learning from the veterinary staff, and she worked with them to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award. She graduated from Forest Hills Central High School in 2008, and moved to East Lansing, Michigan to attend Michigan State University. In East Lansing, she began working at a local veterinary hospital, learning more about veterinary medicine and reinforcing her love of animals and animal care. In 2012, she received her BS in zoology, and in 2015, she received her master's in public health from Michigan State University. Dr. Eidenier completed her doctorate degree in veterinary medicine at Michigan State University in 2020.
Dr. Eidenier moved back to Grand Rapids, Michigan in the fall of 2020 with her boyfriend and their three rescue cats, Tippie, Lola, and Lucy, as well as their Betta fish, Finnegan. In her spare time, she enjoys cuddling with their cats, reading, gardening, kayaking, hiking, traveling, riding her motorcycle, volunteering at local animal rescues, and spending time with her family. She is looking forward to developing her skills and exploring new interests in the field of veterinary medicine at VCA Woodland. Dr. Eidenier is excited to interact with the clients and patients of VCA Woodland and looks forward to developing relationships in the VCA community. She can't wait to meet you!
