Dr. Smith is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. She studied electrical engineering at Brown University for her undergraduate education. She then worked in the renewable energy space as an electrical engineer before deciding to go back to veterinary school. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree in 2024.
While Dr. Smith's professional interest is orthopedic surgery, she aims to be a comprehensive practitioner capable in all fields of veterinary medicine. In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, mountain biking, hiking, and cooking. She does not currently have any pets but she hopes to add a Labrador retriever to her home shortly.
