Dr. Salmela is originally from Minnesota. She received her Bachelor's Degree in microbiology at North Dakota State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. During her fourth year of veterinary school, Dr. Salmela found a love for all things neurology. She decided to pursue further training at Alameda East, with hopes of eventually becoming a board-certified veterinary neurologist.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, puppy (Phoebe), and kitten (Bug). She has so far loved Colorado and is enjoying the wonderful weather, and endless outdoor activities this beautiful state has to offer.
