Teresa Linder
Veterinarian Specialist - Surgery DVM, DACVS

Dr. Linder grew up in the Midwest and received her veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She then went on to complete a rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and spent a year of specialized training in a surgical internship here at VCA ASEC. She completed her surgery residency at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, and rejoined our team in 2020 to continue her career in surgery.

Dr. Linder is a board-certified veterinary surgeon, and is particularly passionate about soft tissue reconstruction, oncologic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, thoracic surgery, and minimally invasive surgery; though she has been known to say that she can't resist a good fracture repair or TPLO (a common surgery performed for ACL tears in dogs). She has published on tilapia skin xenografting for advanced wound management, and on utilizing radiation as an alternative to surgery for aggressive adrenal tumors. She continues to be active in clinical research, and enjoys mentoring our interns and resident through research publications and presentations at national conferences.

In her spare time she can be found adventuring outdoors with her dogs, Cricket and Tuna, spoiling her two cats, Pancake and Cooper, and cooking fresh meals from her garden for family and friends.
