Dr. Tal graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, with a degree in neuroscience and behavior. Although her family had encouraged her to enter the field of human medicine, her heart was always with the animals and she has never looked back. Dr. Tal graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and came to work in Vermont. She joined VCA Brown Animal Hospital in June, 2001, and became the medical director in 2004.

In 2015, Brandon started at VCA Brown as a kennel attendant and quickly rotated positions like reception and thereafter as a veterinary assistant where he discovered that is where he wanted to be. He continued that path and went to school in 2018 while working full-time with VCA Brown. Graduating in 2020, Brandon then tested and received his state license and continued working with VCA as a full-time certified veterinary technician.
