Laser Therapy is a surgery free, drug –free, non-invasive treatment to reduce pain, reduce inflammation and speed healing. Many professional sports teams are also using laser therapy on their athletes. In veterinary medicine, it can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions, both acute and chronic. We have five licensed veterinary technicians and one assistant who are certified to administer laser therapy. Arthritis treatments of several joints can require an extended appointment but most treatments take only a matter of minutes to administer. Most pets are very accepting of laser therapy.
How Does it Work?
The beam of laser light penetrates the tissue without damaging it. The laser energy induces a biological response in the cells called “photo-bio-modulation,” which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation, and increased healing speed.
