Dr. Armstrong grew up in Southern California before moving to attend UC Santa Barbara. She decided to be a veterinarian at an early age, after reading the James Herriot series and taking care of her various dogs, rats, mice, hamsters, fish, snakes, lizards and birds. She graduated from UCSB in 1990 and went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1995. She has been practicing at VCA Elk Grove Animal Hospital since 2002, and has enjoyed great respect for her fellow team members and wonderful clients and pets. She enjoys being a general practitioner and has special interests in dermatology, internal medicine and dental health care. At home she has an adorable Manchester Terrier, Jazzy, and enjoys gardening, hiking, going to the beach and scuba diving.
