Dr. Shawn Clemmer was born and raised in Mississippi. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Birmingham-Southern College then moved back "home" to attend veterinary school at Mississippi State University. Upon graduation in 1997, she moved to Sacramento to do an internship to further her training. She has worked for VCA Animal Hospitals ever since.
