Katie came to FACC in July of 2000 as a kennel assistant while earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Pre-Veterinary Medicine at the University of Findlay. After graduating from U of F in 2003, she pursued her Associates in applied science veterinary technology degree at Stautzenberger College while working as a receptionist and veterinary assistant at the clinic. She graduated in 2005 and was moved into the position of head vet tech. Katie is currently a member of the OAVT, volunteers with the Hancock County Humane Society, and has been a volunteer foster home for the Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue.
Katie's niche is in client education and she enjoys any opportunity to teach someone something new. She also enjoys continuing her education in veterinary toxicology and dermatology.
Katie married her high school sweetheart, Shaun in 2003 and together they have a son, Austin and Carmen, an English Cocker Spaniel.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys running, reading, volunteering with Austin's school, spending time with her family and OSU football. She also has completed her first half marathon!
