Dr. Gottschall learned soon after moving west from the Philadelphia area that Colorado is the place she wanted to be, so Colorado State University was a natural first choice for earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced in the Denver metro area for the vast majority of the time since, apart from brief stints in Phoenix and Colorado Springs.

Her passion is client education. Knowledgeable owners can make informed decisions regarding their pet’s care and create a cooperative team supporting each companion’s quality of life. Preventive medicine, nutrition, exercise, and rest are the cornerstones of health.

Outside VCA Mountainview Animal Hospital, Dr. Gottschall is so grateful that after seven knee surgeries she can ski Mary Jane with her husband and three, nearly adult, children. She could also easily be found walking Dexter the English Shepherd, gardening, practicing yoga, baking sourdough, reading AND knitting, or spinning (yarn).
