Dr. Sweeney grew up in New Jersey where she was always surrounded by a wide array of pets ranging from hamsters to goats. From a very young age, she knew she wanted to pursue a career working with animals. Dr. Sweeney graduated from Rider College with a degree in Biology and then earned her veterinary degree at The University of Pennsylvania in 1997. Dr. Sweeney and her husband lived in the Adirondacks where she practiced for several years before returning to the area. Dr. Sweeney joined VCA Neshaminy in 2004 and currently resides in Yardley with her family. She enjoys spending time with family, skiing, biking and participating in triathlons.
"When I was young our house was always full of animals of all types and I loved science, so as I grew older there was nothing else I wanted to do besides become a veterinarian. I enjoy what I do because everyday is a new challenge. Over the years, my patients and their owners have become part of my family."
