VCA New Hartford Animal Hospital first opened its doors in 1978 under the direction of Dr. Frank Mondi, a graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mondi’s daughter Marie joined him at the practice in 1985. Marie worked her way through each position of the animal hospital, learning the business as she went and eventually became the manager. Over the years, they built a foundation of integrity, honesty and compassion where we continue to believe in higher standards for healthier pets. The cohesive and collaborative team at VCA New Hartford Animal Hospital work tirelessly to fulfill the needs of its clientele and toward the common goal of producing happy clients and healthy pets, all in a pleasant, relaxed environment. Since 1993, VCA New Hartford has been proudly accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA was established in 1933 and is well known among veterinarians and pet owners for its standards for hospitals and pet health care. Less than 15% of veterinary hospitals in North America voluntarily participate in the AAHA hospital evaluation program and are accredited. Consultants regularly visit these hospitals to ensure compliance with over 900 AAHA standards for services and facilities.
