Dr. Brandi Gallagher was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Auburn University for undergraduate studies in microbiology. In 2005, she graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Afterwards, she completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. Dr. Gallagher worked for several years in Florida and Michigan as a general practitioner and an emergency veterinarian. She later returned to academia for a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Since 2014, Dr. Gallagher has provided Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialty services along Florida's Treasure Coast.
Dr. Gallagher has a special interest in immune-mediated, gastrointestinal, kidney and endocrine diseases. She has published peer-reviewed journal articles on feline diabetes and canine liver toxicity, performed grant funded research with feline kidney disease patients and delivered multiple professional lectures. In her free time, Dr. Gallagher enjoys spending quality time with her family, the great outdoors, traveling and reading.
