Lisa Owen, DVM (she/her), is an esteemed veterinarian currently working at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center in the ER department. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from UC Davis in 2007 and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Dr. Owen completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Emergency and Surgery at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in 2017. She has also worked at VCA PetCare East in Santa Rosa. Originally from the Bay Area, Dr. Owen has a strong professional interest in emergency medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, pottery, stained glass, and cooking. She shares her life with Blaise, a Chihuahua mix rescued during the Santa Rosa fires in 2017.
