Maureen Oldach
Veterinarian Specialist - Cardiology DVM, DACVIM/Cardiology

Dr. Oldach earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 from The Ohio State University and stayed on at Ohio State to complete a rotating internship in 2016. She completed a veterinary cardiology residency at the University of California, Davis in 2019 and became a board-certified veterinary cardiologist the same year. She then stayed at UC Davis to complete a research fellowship with a focus on feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, during which she worked on and contributed to several scientific studies and manuscripts. She joined the team at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center to provide cardiac care for pets in 2020.

Dr. Oldach has authored chapters in several esteemed textbooks and has served as a reviewer for scientific journal articles. She is an active participant in training and mentoring intern veterinarians and enjoys and values working with primary care veterinarians and other specialty veterinarians to provide the highest level of care to pets. She has a particular interest in feline cardiomyopathies and is passionate about participating in research to better the lives and health of her patients,

Dr. Oldach lives in the Sierra Foothills and spends her free time exploring the mountains on horseback, hiking and paddleboarding with her husband, and spending time with her two snowshoe kitties and supermutt dogs.
