Doctor Zahorecz is of Hungarian descent and grew up primarily in southern California. He attended undergraduate school at UCLA and is a devout Bruin fan. He received his veterinary degree at the University of California Davis in 1987.

His professional interest is in small animal medicine, including some small mammals, and has 21 years of clinical experience in abdominal ultrasound and guided biopsy techniques.

Sheila was born in Pasadena, California and grew up in the San Gabriel Valley with 10 siblings (10 girls and one boy-guess who had his own room). She has lived in Orange County and San Diego, California before moving to Prescott, Arizona in 2004.

Sheila's education background is in child care, sociology, and psychology. Her work experience is in child care, technology, management, and of course animal care. Sheila has been in the animal care industry since 1999 and joined VCA Thumb Butte Animal Hospital in 2005.
