Dr. Elbaz joined VCA Westboro in 2022 after earning his B.S. in Animal Science from University of Minnesota, and his DVM from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He did a community medicine internship at Tufts University. Originally from San Diego, his previous experience includes providing care on Native American Reservations, and Sled Dog Medicine, as he is a voting member of the ISDVMA. He loves connecting with clients and tailoring medical recommendations to fit a pet and their owner's, individual needs.

I began my veterinary career in 1999 at a small veterinary practice in Redding, CA.  I worked as a kennel assistant and receptionist.  In 2001 I was given an amazing opportunity to work for two fantastic doctors that had just opened their own practice.  In 2008 VCA bought Gateway Animal Clinic and it became VCA Gateway Animal Hospital.  I have been working as the hospital manager there for the last 20 years.  Additionally, I have worked as the interim manager at VCA Valley Oak in Chico, CA.  Both of these hospitals were very different from each other but what they both had in common...
