Dr. Halpert was born and raised in Massachusetts. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science degree from the Tufts University. After that she worked at a veterinary hospital outside Boston before going on to veterinary school. In June 2007, Dr. Halpert graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her year of clinical rotations at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, Dr. Halpert joined the staff of VCA Abbott Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Halpert has a special interest in dentistry and soft tissue surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Halpert enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, their 15 year old mixed breed, Brinley, and their 5 year old cat, Monster. Dr. Halpert also enjoys swimming, gardening and cooking.
