Dr. Thornton was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, where she began volunteering and working in veterinary practices in high school. She attended undergraduate at Florida State University (Go Noles!) where she received a B.S. in biology along with minors in chemistry and entrepreneurship in 2019. Dr. Thornton then attended NC State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.
Dr. Thornton moved to Colorado to begin her veterinary career at VCA Animal Clinic of Parker, where she is excited to work alongside a group of dedicated animal caretakers. She enjoys fostering the human-animal bond that pet parents share with their animals through educating clients on supporting their pet's wellness through all life stages.
Her family pets include Nala, a sassy cat, and Koa, a sweet shepherd/lab mix. In addition to veterinary medicine, Dr. Thornton's passions include hiking/camping with her dog, traveling, reading, and teaching herself to cook at home.
