Dr. Andreas Andreou received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 2005, and then completed a one-year rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan (where he had worked as a licensed veterinary technician from 1998 to 2001).
Besides Dr. Andreou's professional interest in surgery and emergency medicine, he also has a passion for avian and exotic medicine. In 2004, he was honored with the Pamela Slack Award, which is presented to the third-year veterinary student who has demonstrated the most outstanding competence and motivation in avian medicine.
Dr. Andreou moved from New York City and resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife, two children and parrot (Peter Parrot). He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, oil painting, and going to the beach.
