Dr. Emily Chapel is originally from rural Michigan and attended Michigan State University, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology. She worked in the MSU teaching hospital and taught in the veterinary technology program for three years before pursuing her veterinary degree. After graduating at the top of her class in 2013, Emily completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Ohio State University. She stayed on for a three-year residency in Cardiology and completed a Master's degree in veterinary science with a research focus on canine mitral valve disease. She moved to Southern California with her husband in 2017 and has no plans to leave the Southern California winters. Clinically, Dr. Chapel enjoys working closely with pet owners and other veterinarians to provide the best possible care for each patient. Outside the hospital, Emily enjoys baking, running with her dog, and spending time with her husband and their two young children.
