After Dr. Michael Huber received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1993 from Purdue University, he completed an internship at the University of Minnesota (in small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine), followed by a three-year surgical residency at Auburn University.
Dr. Huber received awards for academics and for outstanding poster presentation at the 1996 ACVS meeting.
In 1997, Dr. Huber joined Animal Specialty Group and, in 1998, he passed the board exam, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. His special interests include emergency thoracic and oncologic surgery.
He lives with his wife, Kris, their kids, and a variety of pets including three dogs, two cats, two guinea pigs, a gecko, and two horses. Outside of ASG, he is an avid supporter of community theatre and other local charities.
