David Lanerie
DVM Medical Director
Dr. David Lanerie attended veterinary school at Texas A&M University and graduated in 2012. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M in 2008. Dr. Lanerie grew up in Sugar Land and attended nearby Dulles High School. His professional interests include internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and ultrasound.

Dr. Lanerie's wife, Dr. Jessica Lanerie, is a local pediatrician and they have 3 children, 1 dog, and 1 cat. In his free time, Dr. Lanerie enjoys golfing, video games, and watching Texas A&M and local Houston sports.
Kathleen Whittington
Hospital Manager
Kathleen joined the VCA Southwest Freeway Animal Hospital family in 2009. She worked at VCA Southwest Freeway for 8 years before transferring to VCA Kelliwood, where she was the manager for 3 years. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a degree in Applied Sciences. Kathleen is a native of Maryland and is a proud parent to four amazing daughters, three wonderful granddaughters, two dogs and two silly rescue cats.
